From USAPL powerlifting meets to mobility clinics and technique workshops, we provide opportunities for athletes of all levels to learn, improve, and connect with others who share a passion for strength training.
USAPL Powerlifting Meets
As a USAPL Silver Regional Training Center and official meet directors with MG Powerlifting, we’re proud to host USAPL-sanctioned powerlifting events right here at our facility. These competitions offer lifters the opportunity to test their strength, set new personal records, and compete alongside some of the best athletes in the region. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or new to the sport, participating in or attending a USAPL meet at American Strength is an experience you won’t want to miss.

Mobility Clinics
Mobility is the foundation of any solid training program. Our mobility clinics are designed to help athletes increase their range of motion, prevent injury, and enhance performance. In these clinics, we take a “ground-up” approach, starting with the feet and ankles and working through the entire body. We address common areas of tightness and imbalance, providing practical strategies for improving flexibility and stability.
These sessions are perfect for anyone looking to improve their movement patterns, whether you’re a powerlifter aiming for better squat depth or someone dealing with daily aches and pains. Our goal is to help you move better so you can train harder and achieve more.
Technique Workshops: Mastering the Fundamentals
Proper technique is essential for maximizing strength, preventing injury, and achieving long-term progress. At American Strength, we offer specialized technique workshops for the squat, bench press, and deadlift. Each clinic is designed to teach lifters the fundamentals of these core lifts, following a structured progression to build a solid foundation of proper technique.
Technique Clinic
Our squat technique clinic focuses on the fundamental mechanics needed to perform a strong, safe lift under a loaded bar. We’ll cover everything from individual structure and bar placement to grip width and equipment selection. These clinics will start with a detailed breakdown of key elements like:
Bar Placement: Understanding how positioning effects the lift.
Grip Width & Hand Placement: Finding the most secure position for you.
Foot Positioning: Creating a stable base for optimal power and balance.
Progressive Loading & Warm-Up: Learning how to warm up effectively.
Participants will also learn proper cues for engaging the right muscles, and receive feedback on their technique. This clinic is recommended for everyone, from beginners to experienced lifters looking to refine their skills.

Technique is more than just hitting the right angles—it’s about understanding your body’s unique structure and optimizing your lifts for maximum efficiency and power. When lifters lack proper technique, they not only limit their strength potential but also increase the risk of injury. Our technique workshops help lifters build a strong technical foundation, addressing individual differences and providing guidance on everything from bar position to how to breathe during each lift.
With small class sizes and hands-on instruction, participants receive personalized coaching and support. We also take time to discuss equipment choices, how to effectively warm up for main lifts, and any questions lifters may have about their own training.
